Moonlights

The moon takes different forms. Its real shape is always a circle or a sphere, but its apparent shape changes during its orbit around the Earth and the angle at which it is shone upon by the sun.

This phenomenon of the changing of the moon, highly motivated Art Deco Trade (producer of Art Deco lamps) in the design of a series of lamps. The mouth-blown glass shades often have a sphere as a basis, but of course there are also more whimsical models to be discovered. Because the decorative glass shades are often closed, the light is beautifully diffused, like moonlight. You never look into a bright light source. The moon spreads the light in the dark night. Our glass shades are often white and clear, so in this case the light fixtures should be black. Black patinated fittings in combination with moonlight: Moonlights!
