On October 4 it is World Animal Day and that means that animals get extra attention. Dog, cat, rabbit, deer, bird, swan, butterfly, owl and all other animals are put in the spotlight on this day.
Art Nouveau artists often got their inspiration from nature. It is therefore not surprising that elegant and wild animals and insects, such as butterflies and dragonflies, were very popular within the Art Nouveau style. During the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco style animals were often used as architectural detail. Exotic influences also played a role in these years. That is why the domestic cat, which has its origins in the Egyptian wild cat, was particularly popular with Art Deco artists. The stylistic and geometric shapes give these animals an attractive appearance.
At The blue Art Barn, lamps in which the animal plays the leading role are available, so on this day do not only treat your pet, but also yourself or another animal lover with a special animal gift from The blue Art Barn (we have specially designed for the Animal Day category, by the way, also added light sculptures, Tiffany panels, candlesticks and vases. Objects in which LIGHT plays a leading role!!! )
